About Us:
The Fulton Mall Improvement Association (FMIA) is a business improvement district that serves over 150 businesses in the heart of Downtown Brooklyn. Incorporated in 1976, the FMIA is a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to improving the business environment and quality-of-life on the Fulton Street Mall, which stretches from Boerum Place to Flatbush Avenue (see map to the right or download a map here).

Fulton Street has over 150 retailers.
The FMIA is managed by the Downtown Brooklyn Partnership, a not-for-profit development corporation that seeks to improve and develop the greater Downtown Brooklyn community. FMIA, and two other major Downtown Brooklyn business improvement districts (BIDs), MetroTech BID and Court-Livingston-Schermerhorn BID, provide the Downtown Brooklyn community with nearly $6 million in supplementary services.
Fulton Street Mall:
Fulton Street Mall is considered one of the most successful shopping districts in the New York City metropolitan area, attracting 100,000 shoppers a day. Within this 17 block district are numerous retailers, including Macy's, Modell's, Conway, Cookies, Jimmy Jazz and Zales, as well as independent shops like Heart and Sole and Mirage Boutique.
A host of new mixed-use developments, including commercial and retail space, hotels, and residential units that are planned or under construction in the Fulton Street area, will add to the excitement of shopping on Fulton Street.
